Leather Care
Full grain leather is a natural material and it only gets better with age. A little care keeps it looking its best for years.
- Keep it cool and dry. Prolonged damp, heat and direct sunlight are the things to avoid.
- Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth. For suede, use a suede brush with a light hand.
- Condition sparingly every three to six months to keep the leather supple. Not suitable for suede.
- Keep away from oils, perfume and make up, and watch for dye transfer from dark denim.
- Between outings, stuff with tissue and rest it in its dust bag so it holds its shape.
- If it gets caught in the rain, let it dry naturally. Never use a tumble dryer or direct heat.

Beautifully Handcrafted
Every Assots piece is hand finished by artisans who have spent decades learning their craft. Precise stitching, burnished edges, hardware set by hand. These are the details that separate something made with care from something made at scale, and they are the reason an Assots piece feels different the moment you pick it up.

Genuine Leather
Everything we make begins with ethically sourced full grain leather, the finest and most hard wearing cut of the hide. We choose it for the way it feels in the hand, the way it softens with use, and the patina it earns over years rather than seasons. No synthetics. No shortcuts. Only leather honest enough to age beautifully.

A Variety of Leather Textures
From the quiet smoothness of napa to the depth of a rich pebble grain, we celebrate leather in its natural character. Every hide carries its own markings, so no two pieces are ever quite alike. Choose the texture that suits you and it becomes unmistakably yours.

Our Story
Assots London is a family business. For more than thirty years we have designed and made leather goods ourselves, learning the material from the tannery upward rather than buying it in from a catalogue. That is unusual now, and it is the reason we can offer leather of this standard without the markup a name on the front usually carries. We have always believed that fine things are meant to be lived with, not saved for best.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it real leather?
Yes. Full grain leather, the top cut of the hide with the natural grain left intact. It is the most hard wearing leather there is, and the only one that earns a real patina with age. No bonded leather, no coated splits, no synthetics.
How do I know it will be the right size?
Full measurements are listed under Size and Fit further up this page, along with the photography showing the piece in use. We would always suggest measuring against something you already own rather than judging by eye, and if you are still unsure, ask us before you order.
How should I care for it?
Very little is needed. Keep it away from prolonged damp and direct heat, wipe any marks with a soft dry cloth, and condition it once or twice a year with a neutral leather balm. Store it in the dust bag when it is not in use. Full guidance is in the Leather Care section above.
Will the colour and grain match the photographs?
Closely, but not identically. Every hide carries its own markings and takes dye slightly differently, so small variations in tone and grain are natural and are a sign the leather is genuine rather than a coated imitation. Screens also render colour differently from one device to the next.
How do delivery, returns and guarantees work?
Orders placed before 1pm Monday to Friday are dispatched the same working day. You then have thirty days to live with your purchase. If it is not right, contact us and we will arrange a replacement or a refund with no fuss. We ask only that the piece comes back unused and in its original condition with tags and packaging, and that you include your order number so we can find you quickly. Every Assots piece is also covered against manufacturing faults.
